In 2016 a small group of student journalists from the University of Manchester's student media collective, Manchester Media Group, organised the first-ever Women In Media Conference. Women In Media gives delegates the opportunity to celebrate and learn from successful women in journalism, radio, TV, blogging, PR and much more, through keynote speeches, panel sessions and workshops.
Tania will discuss the journey she underwent to become a Cinematographer, touching on the creative influences that helped her to develop her vision and what she looks for in a script as a DoP. The session will focus on short film drama productions and will include samples of Tania’s work to showcase the concept of the visual narrative and aspects of her process, as well as the collaboration and decision making that is involved during pre-production with regards to equipment and crew.
Afterwards, apply your knowledge to practice through a hands-on camera workshop featuring the latest equipment in the market. Procam’s experienced Camera Technicians will be on hand to explain its range of services and talk through the various kit set-ups on display. Attendees will benefit from ample time to test out the equipment for themselves and have the opportunity to ask any questions.
This cinematography session is open and relevant to all levels – from complete beginners to practicing filmmakers.
