Procam Projects was honoured to work with The Good Film Company and their client, NTT DoCoMo, on their collaboration with Japanese pop group, Perfume. Projects provided kit and support services for the “FUTURE EXPERIMENT VOL.1 Eliminate the distance” shoot in London.
Using DoCoMo’s latest no-delay communication technology, the three Perfume members stood on separate stages in a different city and time zone – London, New York and Tokyo – and were synchronised with a live broadcast to social media. This marked the world’s first multi-cast of three people in three different territories at the same time.
NTT DoCoMo’s objective was to demonstrate how this technology could eliminate the physical distances of the three people in real time, with “FUTURE EXPERIMENT” meaning the future of communication and “eliminating the distance”, showing that three people can become one beyond the physical distance.
Since its release, the video has had over 600,000 views on YouTube.
Procam Projects provided 13 FS7s with 16-35mm lenses, and their unique fibre capabilities for monitoring.
