Procam is proud to support the Play For Change charity by providing kit and crew for their latest project.
Play for Change is a global charity for vulnerable children which believes in empowering the young by creating and funding projects that focus on providing access to sports and education.
Every Monday over a period of 24 weeks, Play for Change has been delivering a new after-school program called ‘Slam Dunk’. These weekly basketball sessions involve inspirational talks and mentoring to help develop self-discipline, confidence, team work and leadership skills. The sessions are aimed at 12-16 year old girls in Burntwood, a local girls school in the London Borough of Wandsworth in a neighbourhood with high rates of child poverty with little or no access to leisure activities.
Procam have been helping document the Slam Dunk events by supplying Canon XF305 kits and Litepanels 1x1 LED Bi-Colour lights along with talented camera operators and sound recordists to capture all the action. The footage will help to further raise awareness and promote the project as well as the Play For Change charity as they attempt to spread their work and build new relationships and projects.
Andrea Kenyeres, the Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships for Play for Change said, “As Play for Change we would like to thank Procam for their tremendous support. Providing equipment, professional crew and video recording they gave an amazing contribution to raise awareness and funds to guarantee the success and continuation of the programme”.
